I needed to brew for a party coming up in mid August and haven't had time to brew as much as I wanted/needed. I HAD to get some beer into the fermenters and quick, unfortunately I had no time. Solution? Quick, down and dirty PM brews. Got home on Friday morning around 8 and had two pots of hot water on the stove by 8:15. I managed to crank out 5 gallons of Hefe and 5 gallons of the Tallywacker and have them in the fermenters by 10:30. I left the Tallywacker on the stovetop with the cover on while I cooled off the Hefe in the sink hoping that it might build up a little DMS. This is the second time I've made the Tallywacker for a party, it was a real hit at Drunkens wedding, it's a good chick beer. (It's in the Recipie Section) Since the party is all the people I work with (90% women) 'serious' beers wouldn't be such a big hit. The Tallywacker fits the bill nicely. OG of 1.032 and fermenting with 05 should give me an ABV of 3.5 or so. And the Hefe is another easy drinking summer beer.

I'll have a 60 minute clone for the beer drinkers/husbands.
